You've been taking BCAAs. They're doing a third of the job.
Branched-chain amino acids of leucine, isoleucine and valine are the three essentials that directly stimulate muscle protein synthesis. They're well-studied, well-marketed, and in nearly every sports supplement on the market. The problem is that stimulating protein synthesis and completing it are two different things.
Your body needs all nine essential amino acids to build a protein chain. Leucine pulls the trigger, but if lysine, threonine, methionine, phenylalanine, tryptophan and histidine aren't available, synthesis stalls. You've activated the machinery and given it no material to work with.
This is the gap EAAs address and BCAAs alone don't.
What changed in this formula
If you've bought this product before, read this section. The formula has been rebuilt, not tweaked.
Every essential amino acid dose went up. Total EAA content per serving moved from 5,400mg to 7,000mg, an increase of roughly 30%. The serving itself went from 14g to 16.5g.
AAKG has been replaced with L-Citrulline at 1500mg. Both target the same pathway. Citrulline is the better tool for it: oral arginine and AAKG are heavily metabolised in the gut and liver before reaching circulation, while citrulline bypasses that route and raises plasma arginine more reliably at comparable doses.
Creatine moved from Creapure® to iCreatine®, and the dose increased from 2500mg to 3000mg. iCreatine® is a branded creatine monohydrate selected in part for water dispersibility, which matters in a flavoured powder that has to actually mix. The dose increase puts each serving squarely in the daily maintenance range used in creatine research.
Glycine has been reduced to 847mg. It remains in the formula for its role in creatine synthesis and collagen structure. The higher previous dose duplicated glycine you're already getting from magnesium bisglycinate, so it was rebalanced rather than stacked.
Three ingredients are new: Taurine at 750mg, AstraGin® at 50mg, and Vitamin B6 as Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate at 3.1mg.
The format changed from 30 sachets to a 248g jar of 15 servings, and the sweetener system moved from stevia and monk fruit to monk fruit juice extract with allulose.
On pack size and servings
This jar holds 15 servings where the old box held 30 sachets. Read that number on its own and it looks like less product. It isn't the number that matters.
Each serving is larger and substantially denser. You're getting 7,000mg of essential amino acids per serving instead of 5,400mg, plus 500mg more creatine, plus citrulline, taurine, AstraGin® and B6 that weren't there before.
One jar is fifteen days of daily use. Two jars cover a month.

A note on how EAA protein equivalence works
Muscle protein synthesis runs in two phases. Initiation: leucine activates mTOR and signals the ribosome to start building. Elongation: the ribosome assembles the full chain, which requires all nine essential amino acids present in circulation simultaneously. If any one is missing, elongation stalls regardless of how much leucine triggered it.
This is why measuring an EAA formula in grams of protein alone misses the point. A complete EAA profile drives an MPS response disproportionate to its gram weight because there's no non-essential amino acid dilution. Whey protein is roughly 40–45% EAAs by composition. A complete EAA formula at the same essential amino acid content can drive a comparable stimulus at a fraction of the serving size. The question isn't how many grams. It's whether the profile can complete what leucine starts.
Five ingredients worth understanding specifically
L-Leucine — 2500mg · The mTOR trigger
Leucine is the primary activator of mTOR, the molecular switch that initiates muscle protein synthesis. At 2500mg it sits above the threshold consistently shown in research to activate this pathway meaningfully. Every EAA formula includes leucine. Not every formula includes it at a dose that does the job.
iCreatine® Creatine Monohydrate — 3000mg · ATP support
Creatine supports ATP regeneration during high-intensity output, strength and power output, and recovery between efforts. It is among the most thoroughly studied ingredients in sports nutrition. At 3000mg per serving this is a daily maintenance dose, not a loading protocol. iCreatine® was selected as a branded monohydrate with dispersibility suited to a flavoured drink.
L-Citrulline — 1500mg · Nitric oxide pathway
Citrulline is converted to arginine in the kidneys, which the body uses to produce nitric oxide. Nitric oxide dilates blood vessels, supporting blood flow and oxygen delivery to muscle tissue during exercise, and the delivery of amino acids and creatine to working muscle. Citrulline is used here in place of arginine or AAKG because it survives first-pass metabolism and raises circulating arginine more effectively.
Taurine — 750mg · Cellular hydration and osmoregulation
Taurine is a conditionally essential amino acid involved in cellular hydration, osmoregulation and antioxidant defence. It is one of the most abundant free amino acids in skeletal muscle and is commonly included in performance formulas alongside creatine, which also draws water into muscle cells.
AstraGin® — 50mg · Absorption support
A branded extract of Astragalus membranaceus and Panax notoginseng, included at its standard 50mg dose. AstraGin® is used in formulas where the goal is to improve uptake of the actives alongside it. It carries a body of preclinical work and a small number of human trials.

How to use
Mix one and half scoop (16.5g) into 250–300ml of cold water, stir and consume immediately. Best taken 20–30 minutes before training, or immediately after, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
On non-training days: any time of day, on an empty stomach or between meals. EAAs absorb rapidly without food and require no digestive load.
On creatine: at 3000mg per serving, creatine here is dosed for daily maintenance rather than a loading protocol. If you're using higher creatine doses under practitioner guidance, this contributes to your total daily intake.

What takes time to internalize is that BCAAs are a signal, not a substrate. Leucine activates mTOR.
